Resolve #3607527 "Automated drupal 12"

Stefan Auditorrequested to merge
issue/xmlrpc-3607527:3607527-automated-drupal-12 into 8.x-1.x

Included the changes from project-update-bot-only and added:

  • Static data provider and include helpers for PHPUnit 12 compatibility.
  • A Composer Drupal core requirement matching the module metadata: ^10.1 || ^11 || ^12.
  • Return types on example forms to resolve eight deprecation notices.

Verified on Drupal 12 with PHP 8.5 and PHPUnit 12: all 10 unit tests and 18 functional tests pass. The four example tests were rerun after the return-type fixes and pass without deprecations.

Closes #3607527
