perf: #3616266 Reduce CI usage on 9.2.x (cache reuse, path gating, varbase-e2e, ^2)
Ports the 11.0.x CI work (issue #3616266) to the 9.2.x line. The 9.2.x web root is docroot/, so all custom-code paths use docroot/{modules,themes,recipes}/custom.
What changed
- Cache reuse + DB restore: the role / user / language seeding moves into the
📦 Install Varbasejob so its DB dump carries them; the parallel test jobs now pull the installed build cache (vendor, node_modules, docroot, bin) and restore that dump, instead of each re-installing Varbase. No composer/yarn/playwright build per test job. - Path gating: every job is gated on changed paths. A job whose files did not change stays listed as a non-optional manual (
allow_failure: false), never dropped. The full pipeline still runs on the default branch, release branches and tags. - Custom-code scope: PHPCS / PHPStan and the app-changes gate target the developer dirs
docroot/{modules,themes,recipes}/custom(scaffolded with.gitkeep). - Rename: the test job is now
🧪 varbase-e2e(Automated Functional Acceptance Testing in the description only). - Dependency:
@vardot/varbase-e2e→^2;yarn.lockregenerated to 2.0.3.
Note: 9.2.x ships no Storybook job, so no Storybook gate is added.
