fix: #3629200 Stop requiring the removed drupal_cms recipes so Horizon Aid installs on Drupal CMS 2.2.3
Issue: https://www.drupal.org/i/3629200, reported by xpete. Thanks for the report.
Why: since Drupal CMS 2.2.3 (7 October 2026) a fresh drupal/cms requires drupal/tagify ^2.0.4. Drupal CMS 2.2 removed drupal_cms_admin_ui, drupal_cms_content_type_base, drupal_cms_media and drupal_cms_privacy_basic (drupal.org lists them as replaced by Drupal CMS Basics). Their last releases (2.1.6) require Tagify 1, so the Vardot site templates can no longer be installed from the Drupal CMS installer.
Change:
- Drop
drupal_cms_admin_ui,drupal_cms_mediaanddrupal_cms_privacy_basicfromcomposer.jsonandrecipe.yml. The Varbase recipes Horizon Aid already applies now carry those pieces (the related MRs below).
Tested on DDEV today, with all the related branches together:
- Fresh Drupal CMS 2.2.3 (Tagify 2.0.4): Horizon Aid installs by drush and through the browser installer; Educare, The Rightup and Varbase Starter install by drush. None of the removed
drupal_cmsrecipes is pulled in. - Varbase base (
drupal/varbase_project11.0.x-dev, Tagify 1.2.54): Horizon Aid installs by drush. - YAML lint and
composer validatepass on every package.
The issue's first proposal, dropping drupal_cms_admin_ui only, was tested first and was not enough: the other removed recipes Horizon Aid required still pull in Tagify 1.
Merge order: after the six Varbase recipe MRs. This pipeline builds a fresh drupal/cms against 1.0.x-dev of the Varbase recipes, so it stays red until those are on 1.0.x.
