  1. Consume the isNew and status properties and use them to deduce the correct badge to display
  2. Refetch the layout data to get up to date values for isNew and status after publishing changes
  3. Manually refetch the list of pending changes immediately the first time a change is made to layout/model/form data to prevent up to 10second wait for polling
