Values saved from the Config panel are cast to their config schema, and block settings to the block schema, before they are stored.

Tested on Drupal 11.4 with PHP 8.4: after changing a nested Menu source, expand_all_items and set_active_trail are stored as booleans, and a slot weight as an integer.
