drupal.org's facade turns info.yml dependencies into drupal/<name>: *, so the package required media_directories_editor at any version and resolved to the 2.0.x line, which caps at core ^9. The three Media Directories packages are now pinned to ^3.0@rc, which supports core ^10.2 || ^11 || ^12.

Verified with the distribution's root stability change: composer create-project webship/cucumber-project then bin/drush site:install cucumber completes on Drupal 11.4.7 + PHP 8.4.
