Revert "Issue #2595473 by jhodgdon, eojthebrave, batigolix: Change file extension on AsciiDoc files to  .asciidoc"

This reverts commit c907442e.

It appears that when the patch was originally committed it resulted in .asciidoc files getting created by not the .txt files being removed. Reverting this commit to clean that up and try again.
