PHP intl extension missing

<p>ran the installation and got<br>
<code>RuntimeException: The intl extension is needed to use intl-based filters. in Twig_Extensions_Extension_Intl->__construct() (line 17 of vendor/twig/extensions/lib/Twig/Extensions/Extension/Intl.php).</code></p>
<p> PHP intl extension is missing well at least on my defualt setup.</p>
