<p>Now that I've been given maintainer access for this module, I think we should formulate a plan to get this module into a Production-ready state. As <span class="drupalorg-gitlab-issue-link drupalorg-gitlab-link-wrapper"><a href="https://git.drupalcode.org/project/stripe/-/work_items/2096305" class="drupalorg-gitlab-link">https://git.drupalcode.org/project/stripe/-/work_items/2096305</a></span> mentions the module seems to work great in combination with the Payment module, but unfortunately I do not have much experience there. This is because currently we are implementing Stripe so that we can enable Stripe Subscriptions, but we use Commerce and Commerce Stripe for our shopping cart system. It is my plan to make the Commerce Stripe module depend on this one in a future version.</p>
<p>Perhaps the best next step is to find any issues that are blocking a 1.0 release (even if it's Alpha/Beta) and mark those, as well as any low-hanging fruit, for fixing before a 1.0 is put out there. </p>
<p>I also would recommend removing the stripe_commerce submodule, as it is pretty much unusable, and instead pointing people to Commerce Stripe. Work can be done in parallel there to make sure they play together nicely. (One major benefit will be Commerce Stripe being able to reuse / share customer_id values with Stripe Subscription.</p>
<p>Happy to know others' thoughts on how development should proceed, and am looking forward to coordinating upcoming tasks.</p>
