<h3 id="summary-proposed-resolution">Proposed resolution</h3>
<p>Automated testing is starting to throw warnings about outdated methods and syntax used in the module due to the backwards compatibility code and annotations used.</p>
<p>By limiting the supported Drupal Core to 11.3 in a new release branch, all of the BC can be removed and the branch prepared to bridge into Drupal 12 support.</p>
<p>Do these changes in new 4.x branch, which will support Drupal ^11.3 || ^12</p>
<p>Use contents of 3.1.x branch (not pushed) as source of 4.x branch.</p>
