As security issues are filed on security.drupal.org the maintainers are automatically added to the issue and subscribed to email updates about the issue. However, by default after our migration, the notification emails to a digital trash bin.</p> <p>On gitlab, notifications for security issues follow more global preferences. The global default notification email managed at <a href="https://git.drupalcode.org/-/profile/notifications">https://git.drupalcode.org/-/profile/notifications</a> is defaulted to username @ uid.no-reply.drupal.org so people don't get an email notification. The security team will manually contact people using the d.o contact form and/or slack if we haven't seen a response by a maintainer in a long time, but this takes a lot of effort. We've had several maintainers, including rather involved/aware folks, who got that direct outreach and were surprised they didn't get an automated notification.</p> <h3 id="summary-proposed-resolution">Proposed resolution</h3> <p>We might want to take a couple actions:</p> <p>As each project migrates to GitLab issues, I think that might be a good opportunity to notify maintainers that:</p> <p> Their project&rsquo;s issues have been migrated.<br> Check your global notification settings in GitLab.<br> Check your project-specific notification settings.
