<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>My name is Vladimir. I'm based in Brisbane, Australia and run training for each Drupal Global Training Day.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>AmyJune (she/her) in the United Stated, based in the San Francisco Bay area.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>rachel_norfolk</td>
<td>Rachel, based in UK and here from the Drupal Association</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>2️⃣ Did you run the latest Drupal Global Training Day (2-4 Apr) and how did it go?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I ran "Preparing to Drupal 9" training. I had 6 people joining online. I ran through Gabor's slides "State of Drupal 9" and then did a hands on workshop on how to check if your system is ready to be upgraded.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>I helped with Pantheons's Intro to D8 training last week. There were 129+ people in the webinar.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>Nice turn up @AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>rachel_norfolk</td>
<td>Do Pantheon keep a record on where people are connecting from? I would be interested to see that</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>I do not have that answer maybe the trainer, @David Needham - Pantheon knows</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>David Needham - Pantheon</td>
<td>@rachel_norfolk geographically? I don’t think we ever ask for that in a form or survey, so I’m not sure if we have that data.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>rachel_norfolk</td>
<td>okay - no worries! I know that there is a huge potential of willing learners in Africa and wondered if they were finding the places to go.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>@rachel_norfolk That's a good point. We currently don't have anyone here teaching from Europe which will coincide with Africa but I'm happy to run evening training in Australia to cater for the timezones.</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>3️⃣ Have you run your latest training online? Were there any limitations to what you usually do?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>That was the first time I ran online training. I still followed the usual procedure: prepared registration form, prepared slides, created the machines on Digital Ocean for everyone registered.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>Online training went pretty smoothly. No dramas or lack of communication.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>rachel_norfolk</td>
<td>you create machines on Digital Ocean, even when in person? I like that approach - less "surprises"</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>zengenuity</td>
<td>I have run GTD trainings online before, but attendance was pretty low, so I stopped doing it. Lots of signups, lots of no-shows.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>zengenuity</td>
<td>I also create online development environments on digital ocean for my paid classes at Drupaltutor.com. Saves a lot of problems with people installing software.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>zengenuity</td>
<td>(I did the same for the free GTD classes when I offered them.)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>Thanks for sharing @zengenuity</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I'm currently working with Pantheon to see if we can easily replicate training environments using Pantheon. Will blog about it once it is done.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>dinarcon</td>
<td>I have run many GTD workshops on Pantheon. We have failed to do it on the official dates for a while, but we still do 3-4 a year at least. Pantheon has been great for site building workshops. It saves us tons of time in setting up attendees. I am evaluating using Pantheon custom upstreams for workshops that go beyond Drupal core. I would be interested in learning from your experience @VladimirAus</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>4️⃣ Would you like to collaborate on course agenda for the next Drupal Global Training Day? If yes, do you have preferred topic / suggestion?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I have few suggestions:</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>If you don't like to collaborate on agenda, are there any specific reasons?</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>5️⃣ Which remote platform do you prefer and why? Zoom, google meet, microsoft teams?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I used google meet for the last training. Although you can't stream it to YouTube anymore, I tried new recording features. The only limitation is that user need to have google/gmail account.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I participated in multiple Zoom sessions and I'm not a big fan of the platform.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I'm yet to try YouTube streaming. Waiting for verification (takes 24 hours+)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>I ran Contribution Day for MidCamp the second week in March and we used Zoom. We decided to go with that platform because</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>For the Intro to D8 training with Pantheon, they used Zoom Webinars... I am not sure why they chose the platform (I do not work for them, just help with some trainings, etc).... It went well, there was a Q&A room away from the chat which helped with answering specific questions (edited)</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>zengenuity</td>
<td>I use Zoom for my webinars at DrupalTutor.com, but I’m going to use Hopin.to for a virtual Drupal meetup next week. I think Hopin.to could be useful for online camps, but probably overkill for training classes.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>@AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her) Zoom webinars have some handy features. It would be good to know if they tried anything else...</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>6️⃣ Considering the current situation, what are your current plans until the end of the year regarding the training?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I'm planning to concentrate more on online training and try to run free training every Drupal Global Training Day.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I have number of collaborations planned with various companies/ committees which hopefully will result in some public training.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I'm also (as a part of Gitlab Hero) team working on "Non technical Gitlab" series which might help Drupal related projects.</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>7️⃣ How do you promote your training? Would you suggest anything to improve the promotional part of Drupal Global Training Days?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I'm looking after DrupalGTD twitter account and always promote and retweet twits tagged with #DrupalGTD</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>Should we get Facebook / LinedIn presence?</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>Maybe the DA can help with the promotion? Drupical needs some work for sure, maybe to include virtual-online-nonlocation events</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>It seems that maybe we can recruit some regional camps to promote efforts as well...</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her)</td>
<td>I organize 5 North American Camps, I can def. help with those efforts</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I'll try to contact DA and see what is their vision.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>That's a massive effort @AmyJune (volkswagenchick she/her). I can cover Australia / New Zealand events.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>rachel_norfolk</td>
<td>The DA is about to launch an event listing service built right into drupal.org. To begin with, it will concentrate on DrupalCamp-sized events but I have plans for it to expand to include things like GTD</td>
</tr>
</table>
<h2>8️⃣ Any final comments / suggestions?</h2>
<table>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>We are facing massive challenges so I would like to thank everyone who is participating in those discussions and helping run and promote Drupal training.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>I was asked if "free Drupal training devalues the Drupal itself" and I think it is complete nonsense. In my opinion every great technology should have easy and free access to tutorials and workshops.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>VladimirAus</td>
<td>Stay safe and healthy! I will be popping in from time to time to check on feedback.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>dinarcon</td>
<td>Great to see the initiative is moving forward. Maybe I can get involved again in the future.</td>
</tr>
