The Event Platform Starter recipe has been converted to a site template. All of its dependencies are now stable, and it has now been relaunched in the Summit namespace: https://www.drupal.org/project/summit As I understand it, the path to inclusion is an MR to add Summit to the site-templates.yml file in Drupal CMS.
