Multiple people have fallen into this trap.</p> <p>In fairness, it's confusing. There really should be more front-and-center documentation about how to contribute to Drupal CMS.</p> <p>We should add a CONTRIBUTING.md to the project template which details how to get set up for contributing to Drupal CMS.</p>
