People <em>WILL</em> ask this question. We need to be super clear that there's no update path, and that the closest you can get to one is installing Canvas and a design system, and using those to build pages. (And if you don't want Canvas, but do want those sweet new modules, that you should just install them like any other module). This is the time, I think, to really solidify that Drupal CMS is a starting point and not a product that updates you.</li> </ul>
