Improve deprecation listing with filtering
Migrated issue
Reported by: gábor hojtsy
Problem/Motivation
Deprecations are listed at https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/deprecated/8.6.x. This page allows to filter by type. It does not allow to:
- Limit to deprecations by Drupal 9.0.0 (not things deprecated in Drupal 10.0.0).
- Limit to deprecations introduced only in Drupal core versions that are not supported anymore.
The former would allow to list only things that are to be dealt with for Drupal 9 compatibility. The later would help to deal with things where fixing them would not require people to upgrade from an otherwise supported core version.
Proposed resolution
Here is what we would ideally like to do:
1. Parse out the deprecation messages as a separate data item if not already.
2. Parse the start and removal version numbers out from the deprecation messages and store as separate data item.
3. Expose filtering on the UI for the start and removal version numbers.
4. If there is a way (probably not easy) allow filtering to things in unsupported core versions (but 3 already allows to do that manually).
That has been spun off into a child issue #3033165
As an interim solution, until the community decides on a parseable format for deprecation messages, we are doing the following:
Changing the Deprecation page so that it displays the deprecation message in place of the item description, and has a text contains filter on that message.
Remaining tasks
Discuss. Do it.
User interface changes
1. Deprecation message is displayed in Deprecation page in place of the item one-line description.
2. There is a text contains filter on the Deprecation page for filtering that deprecation message.
3. Took out the "case sensitive" description on Views filters, because it does not appear that Contains filters are actually case sensitive after all.
Here is what the deprecation listing page now looks like (there are more columns that are not shown in this image):

API changes
No, but added a new views filter on the deprecation message text (previously you could only filter on yes/no is it deprecated).
Data model changes
Not yet.
Release notes snippet
The view for listing pages was changed in code. If you have overridden it, you will not see the changes to the Deprecated listing pages.
