Line numbers not lining up right

On api.drupal.org if you look at a file, and click the View Source button, you get line numbers.

Which is nice, but if the file has lines that wrap, the numbers don't line up.

Also I think the CSS is off a bit so the line height on the numbers is not the same as the line height on the code.
